Origin & Native Environment
Pothos are native to French Polynesia, but can be found in subtropical forests around the world. Its most prized characteristics as a houseplant, prolific growth and tolerance of a wide variety of conditions, are also what have aided in its reputation as an invasive species in tropical and subtropical forests around the world.
Naming
Marble Queen Pothos, or Epipremnum aureum 'Marble Queen', is also known as Ceylon Creeper, Hunter's Robe, Ivy Arum, and Devil's Ivy, due to its resistance to death and its tendency to stay green in dark conditions.
Care Instructions
Water
Allow soil to dry between waterings. The level of sun exposure will dictate whether to water more or less often. Brighter exposure will require slightly more water than a low light condition.
Light
Can tolerate any light conditions except direct sunlight. While low and medium light will suffice, bright indirect sunlight will help this Pothos thrive.
Soil
Use any general potting mix with the addition of perlite and coconut coir for drainage and aeration. They enjoy a soil pH of 6.1-6.5 but they don't mind if if the soil pH is a little outside this range.
Humidity
Any humidity level that is commonly found indoors is suitable for this plant.
Temperature
Any temperature that is commonly found indoors is acceptable for this plant. It will thrive in a temperature range of 65°F to 90°F.
Fertilizer
Fertilize once a month in spring and summer with a balanced, all-purpose plant food.
